SANAA Exhibition, Kerry Packer Civic Gallery - University of South Australia

The Kerry Packer Civic Gallery at The Bob Hawke Prime Ministerial Centre - University of South Australia, hosted the Sanaa Exhibition Monday 6 February to Wednesday 29 March. The work of Onyis Martin, WiseTwo, Bankslave and Charles Ngatia was exhibited, with artist Swift9 painting a mural of Nelson Mandela direct onto the gallery wall. The exhibition was officially launched Wednesday 23 February, by His Excellency The Honourable Hieu Van Le - Governor of South Australia and attended by His Excellency Mr Isaiya Kabira - Kenyan High Commissioner to Australia. Prior to the official launch, an artist talk was facilitated by Mr Stephen Tongun - Adelaide resident formally from Kenya. Over the course of the evening, 150 people enjoyed African delights prepared by the Mazi Maz ladies, mingled with the artists and celebrated the vibrant and colourful East African artwork.
